Pashtun tribes
:''This articles is about the tribal lineages. For tribal structure see Pashtun tribal structure.''
The Pashtun tribes ((パシュトー語:پښتانه ټبرونه)) form the world's largest tribal society. The Pashtun people are traditionally divided into four tribal confederacies: the Sarbani (), the Bettani (), the Ghurghakhti (), and the Karlani ().
Folkloric genealogies trace the descent of the Pashtuns to Qais Abdur Rashid and his three sons ''Sarbaṇ'' (), ''Beṭ'' (), and ''Ghurghax̌t'' (). Qais is also said that he had a fourth adopted son, Ormur Baraki , who became the progenitor of the Karlani confederacy. Estimates of the number of Pashtun tribes and clans range from about 350 to over 400.
==Bettani==
(詳細はBettani confederacy include the Bettani Proper (whose highest concentration is in the region around Jandola), the much larger Ghilji or (Gharzai) and Lodi tribal groups, Niazi and other minor tribes.
